Planting Seeds of Change: A Day with SistersWe Foundation in San Bernardino

On a cloudy yet hope-filled Saturday, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in a community gardening event hosted by the SistersWe Foundation in San Bernardino. Founded by the passionate and community-driven Adrienne, SistersWe has been doing inspiring work focused on healing, empowerment, and service—particularly for women and marginalized communities.

The event brought together neighbors, volunteers, and changemakers who were all eager to get their hands in the dirt and their hearts in the mission. I had the pleasure of working alongside some amazing people, including David from The People of San Bernardino. David, who also works in real estate, generously provided the land for this project and has been a key force in uplifting the community through access, empowerment, and collaboration.

What made this day even more exciting was the discussion that bloomed between SistersWe, David, and myself. We shared ideas on how our organizations—SistersWe, The People of San Bernardino, and the Givers of Heart Foundation—can join forces in the near future for programs that go beyond just one event. We're now planning a follow-up meeting on May 17th to explore a potential collaboration that could expand our reach and deepen our impact.

This event reminded me that real change is planted in the soil of unity, watered by collaboration, and grown with consistent love and action.

Stay tuned for updates as we work together to cultivate a better future, one community at a time.
